How to Adjust User Settings on a 2GiG Edge Alarm System

2GIG EDGE User Settings Programming Guide

This guide covers user-level settings shown in the 2GIG EDGE User Guide, including screen brightness/timeout, sensor chimes, date & time, and user codes (add/edit/deactivate) including duress activation.

Open Settings

Home Settings

From the Home Screen, tap the Settings icon to view panel settings. Some settings may prompt you to display your face to the camera or enter the Master User Code.

How To Lower Screen Brightness on a 2GIG EDGE Panel

Use Screen Brightness to reduce glare and eye discomfort at night.

  1. At the Home Screen, tap the Settings icon.
  2. Tap Screen.
  3. Adjust Screen Brightness by swiping the slide control left (dimmer) or right (brighter).
The user guide describes brightness as a slider under Settings → Screen.

How To Adjust LCD Contrast on a 2GIG EDGE Keypad

What to do if text looks washed out or too dark.

The 2GIG EDGE User Guide section on Screen lists Screen Brightness, Screen Timeout, screensaver features, and Clean Mode. It does not describe a separate “Contrast” control for the touchscreen. If readability is the issue, use Screen Brightness instead.

How To Turn Sensor Chimes On or Off on a 2GIG EDGE System

Assign chimes to sensors for a notification anytime a sensor is opened.

  1. At the System Settings screen, tap Sensor Chimes.
  2. Select a sensor from the list.
  3. Tap the new chime setting.
  4. Press the back button to return to previous menus.
The user guide notes chime assignment is a master user function (assigning chimes to sensors).

How To Change Keypad Beep Volume on a 2GIG EDGE System

What the user guide shows (and what it doesn’t).

The user guide shows Audible Beeps On and Audible Beeps Off as status bar action icons. It does not provide steps for changing a “beep volume” level in the sections shown.

What you may see What it means (per the guide)
Audible Beeps On Status bar action icon indicating audible beeps are on
Audible Beeps Off Status bar action icon indicating audible beeps are off
If you want this section to include a precise “tap here to toggle” workflow, I’ll need that exact instruction text/page from the manual (it isn’t described in the status icon table itself).
